Workshops
I had a wonderful, busy summer with workshops and shows all over the place. Thank you to all of you who came to see me at the shows and if you took part in a workshop. Your support means a lot to me and I appreciate each and everyone of you.

Sit, Sew and Create Thursdays have resumed from the 3rd September 2026. Bring your own projects, lunch and a smile. It will be lovely to see you.

I have six spaces each week. Book early to avoid disappointment.

My little summer project which I started at my Mums in Cornwall a couple of weeks ago has been finished today with a little bit of stitch. I have ‘mellyfied’ my Nintendo Switch 2 case using Posca pens and my hand dyed threads for stitching. It is now unique! Now to get back to playing Pokopia on the Switch!

Earlier this year Alex and I were fortunate enough to travel once more with Aahilya Holidays - this time to Kerala . The tour company could not have worked hard enough to ensure we were all so looked after - each day is filled with another memorable experience - and craft and culture covered in equal measure . We met some fabulous ladies and a few of them are coming on our next adventure too ! This time our destination is Istanbul , Turkey - February 2027. We had a chilled day yesterday, nipped in to Truro for Pasties.
Later I met my nieces and we had a lovely time watching the Eclipse. Another lovely memory made….

Today we have been to St Michael’s Mount and Lands End. Beautiful scenery, gorgeous sunshine and the best company. Thank you Fabien and Mai. It was lovely to have my Bro with us too.

Best day yesterday. I visited my old home and was invited inside. This was so wonderful and bought back some happy memories. A big thank you to Vose Farm Cottages, Tregony, Cornwall for welcoming me in. You were both so lovely.
We then went to Mevagissey which was another place I used to live when I was 6 years old. It still holds the magic for me. Just glorious and all even better as I got to share it with my son, Fabien Missin and Mai. We also visited the The Lost Gardens of Heligan... where Steve Backshawl (Deadliest Sixty) was talking. Oh what a brilliant day. Thank you Fabes and Mai. Xxx

Beautiful Butterflies becoming more of a rarity to see now

There were some beautiful stands at Ely Cathedral Home & Garden Show last week but my favourite was (apart from mine of course😉😂) @whitechapelsofkent. Each light made from something recycled, old pieces made quirky and new again, Adi bought me the sewing machine one. It will look so fab on my stand. I bought him the fire extinguisher one which looks amazing in our lounge. I think this maybe my new obsession!

You need a lot of patience when gardening… things take time to grow, but it is always worth the wait. I planted this Rose about 5 -6 years ago and it did nothing, until now …. Wow! Growing through my trees, just stunning. And the scarlet tiger was still there too. How blessed are we to see such beauty.

I have just found this beauty on my Persicaria this morning .. just hatched I think. Scarlet Tiger Moth. I have never seen one before. That has made my day.

I love my pineapple tree (Cytisus battandieri) and yes, the flowers smell just like pineapples. Mum has had one in her garden for years so I just had to have one. It has been in my garden for the last five years. This year there is an abundance of glorious, fruity flowers…
